Appointments and Referrals

Yes. I am a General Surgeon as well as Colorectal. Laparoscopic and open hernia repairs as well as Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy are part of my routine practice.

Yes. My practice is measured against published Colorectal data from the ACPGBI. We are better than the average in all measured outcome. We are in the top 3% in the procedures performed per person per year indicator.

Private Insurance or Self Funded appointments

Yes, Insurance companies usually need to know in advance. They will give an authorisation number that Natalie needs to know. However I can see the patient sooner but they need to let Natalie know about it after.

Of course. Please let Natalie know about it at the time of the booking.

First consultation is £250. Follow up consultation is £200. Remote consultations (like over the phone) £175.

It varies greatly. If we proceed with any investigation and/or treatment and the patient is self funding, Natalie will always give a quote first. It they are insured, the Insurance Company covers to costs. However companies like BUPA may not cover all the treatment costs, leaving the patients with a shortfall.

Operations & Recovery

In Jersey General Hospital. Depending on the procedure, the patient will be directed to Sorel Ward, the Day Surgery Unit or the Endoscopy Suit at Aubin Ward

It depends. Diagnostic procedures like gastroscopy and colonoscopy only require one day off, but only if they have sedation. Surgical procedures will require 3-5-10 days or 3-4 weeks depending on the complexity of the intervention. It will be part of our discussion when preparing.

Yes. Those who need to stay off work will be provided with an initial Sick Note. I can however only give out a note for no more than one month.

Yes, but from the Private Practice It can only be a Private Prescription. As Insurance Companies do not pay for them, the patients will have to pay for it themselves.
